What Is Medical Cannabis?
Medical cannabis a plant that grows throughout temperate and tropical climates and that contains biologically active substances called cannabinoids in its leaves, flowers, buds and extracts. The most biologically active cannabinoids are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).
Why Medical Cannabis?
Medical cannabis may be helpful in the management of symptoms associated with a variety of conditions that have not responded to conventional therapies such as:

Ensuring medical cannabis is appropriate for you
Medical cannabis may not be appropriate for everyone and may interact with prescription medications or interfere with other medical conditions. It’s important to let your healthcare provider know if you are taking medical cannabis. At BioPro, a Pharmacist will check for drug-cannabis interactions and help to identify how/if you can safely take medical cannabis.

Registering/getting setup with a licensed producer can become very confusing and involve a lot of paperwork. On top of that, starting medical cannabis requires a prescription from a physician and that prescription needs to be submitted to a licensed producer. At BioPro, we handle all of that for you. Need a prescription? We will contact your doctor to get one. Need to register with a licensed producer? We will get that setup so that you don’t have to!

different effects and it’s important to select the right product with the appropriate concentrations. A BioPro Pharmacist will select the appropriate product based on the symptoms/condition you are treating. Based on your preferences, you can choose between capsules or oils.
Individualized dosing schedule and monitoring plan
The dose for medical cannabis should be individualized. A BioPro Pharmacist will guide you on a dose that is specific to you. This dose depends on the symptoms/conditions you are treating, your weight and whether you have already been using medical cannabis. We provide you with an initial dosing schedule, follow-up with you to see how you’re doing and help you adjust the dose as needed.
